Demographic information:
The Alabama Baptist reaches a subscription base of more than 70,000 households weekly, with a readership of more than 182,000 people. The majority of subscribers to The Alabama Baptist are members of the 3,200 Baptist churches in Alabama. Baptists comprise the largest Christian denomination in the state, with membership of more than 1 million. The issues are direct mailed 50 weeks per year (excludes July 4 and Christmas).

Readers of The Alabama Baptist are well-educated homeowners, both male and female, with above average income. More than one-third of readers surveyed said seeing an ad in their state Baptist paper increased the likelihood they would buy the product or service.

You provide the text; we provide the space in our newspaper. An advertorial is extended newspaper text within a paid ad space that allows the reader to get an in-depth opportunity to know more about your business or the services you offer. Writing services are available upon request.

Classified ads:
Classified advertising is available in the Market Place section. Market Place categories include, but are not limited to, Church Positions, Other Positions, Business, Furnishings and Construction, Conferences/Retreats, Travel/Vacation, For Sale/For Rent and Miscellaneous. Copy deadline for classified ads is two weeks before publication. Cost is $35 for 26 words. All words over 26 will be $1.35 each. Printed classified ads also will be listed on The Alabama Baptist Web site (www.thealabamabaptist.org) for the week they are published. Ad deadlines:
Once an ad is scheduled, camera-ready ads (PDF or TIF format) need to arrive no later than two weeks before publication date. Please send to: ads@thealabamabaptist.org. There is a $25 rush charge applied to ads that are received after deadline.

Electronic Formats:
Ads should be designed at print size with a resolution of at least 300 dpi (dots per inch).

Color ads must be CMYK. If the color black is used, it must be 100 percent black. (C=0%, M=0%, Y=0%, K=100%). The Alabama Baptist cannot print 4-color black.

The Alabama Baptist can receive ads in the following formats: PDF, JPG, TIF, PSD, AI and EPS. For information concerning file formats, call 205-870-4720, Ext. 102, or e-mail ads@thealabamabaptist.org.

Ad design:
The Alabama Baptist can even design your ad, which includes writing copy, scanning photos and even taking photos, if needed. The cost for ad design varies depending on complexity, deadline and creative input.
