National Acteen Panelist, Mary Virginia Harper of Montgomery, Ala., speaks during the June 17 opening session of the two-day Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) Celebration and Annual Meeting at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The event is held prior to the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting June 19-20. The Alabama Baptist is covering various aspects of the WMU meeting, the SBC Pastors Conference and the SBC annual meeting via Facebook, Twitter and at thealabmabaptist.wordpress.com.
