Ten members of the choir of Centreville Baptist Church, in Bibb Baptist Association, participated in a combined choir and orchestra consisting of six churches during the opening session June 19 at the SBC annual meeting in New Orleans.
Mike Vickers, minister of music and senior adults at Centreville Baptist, said it was “an incredible honor (and) a once in a lifetime” opportunity to sing at the annual meeting.
The music was “good and challenging” for the choir, according to Vickers, and included his “favorite” from the event, “Lord Have Mercy.”
