A Christian farmworker appears to have been tortured to death by his employers, who then staged the scene to look like suicide.
Marcus Masih, 21, had worked five years at a Muslim-owned cattle farm in Pakistan’s Punjab Province, his brother, Dilshad Masih, told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News.

Dilshad said he received a phone call March 4 when an employer told him Marcus had hanged himself in a cattle shed.
When the family saw the body they found significant bruises and burns.
“The visible injuries suggest severe torture,” noted Asher Adeel, a human rights advocate based in Punjab Province’s Sargodha District. “If the allegations are true, the accused not only killed him but attempted to disguise the crime as suicide.”
News of Marcus’ death spurred dozens of Christians to protest. They blocked a main thoroughfare with his body, demanding that police file a report on the case, Dilshad told Christian Daily-Morning Star.
