Jennifer Davis Rash, President and Editor-in-Chief
Jennifer Davis Rash has been part of the TAB Media team since 1996 and became president and editor-in-chief in 2019.
She started on staff as a news writer and worked her way up to managing editor then executive editor before being named editor-elect in 2015 and then the first female editor of a major Baptist newspaper beginning Jan. 1, 2019.
Throughout the years she has helped lead the editorial team to win more than 250 national awards.
Jennifer has served in denominational communications her entire career, starting with a two-year stint with the International Mission Board and Caribbean Christian Publications right out of college.
Jennifer has also served in a variety of national and local leadership roles in Baptist life. She served as president of Baptist Communicators Association and vice president of Associated Church Press, two national organizations for professional Christian communicators, and in various positions with Religion Communicators Council, Evangelical Press Association and Alabama Press Association. She is past president of the Association of State Baptist Publications.
A native of Phil Campbell, Jennifer earned her associate’s degree from Northwest Community College, her bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Alabama and her master of theological studies from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham. She also received an honorary doctorate from Judson College in Marion, Alabama.

Annette Brown, Guest Services Coordinator
Annette has been part of the TAB Media team since 2019. Previously, she worked in human resources with two insurance companies in the Birmingham area for more than 25 years. Carrie Brown McWhorter, Content Editor
Carrie Brown McWhorter has been part of the TAB Media team full time since 2019 and in various other roles since 1995, during which time she also taught English at the university level. Carrie has a bachelor’s degree in English and master’s degree in journalism from the University of Alabama and master’s degree in English from the University of West Georgia. David Walsh, Media & Marketing Consultant
Dave Walsh has been part of the TAB Media team since 2021. He also has served in full-time ministry since 1998, and is currently pastor of Ariton Baptist Church. Dave has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. He and his wife Tracy have four children and five grandchildren.
Debbie Campbell has been part of the TAB Media team since 1998. Her earlier employment includes management positions with Neiman Marcus and Dallas Fire & Life Insurance Co. Debbie has a bachelor’s degree in speech and journalism from the University of North Texas. She and her husband, Don, are members of The Baptist Church at McAdory, McCalla. Deborah Lowery, Financial Assistant
Deb Lowery has been part of the TAB Media team since 2009. Previously, she spent more than 20 years as a stay-at-home mom, wife and home educator and 15 years in real estate accounting. Deb and her husband, Wes, have served with Mayan Missions in Central America, Belize evangelizing and working with several vacation Bible schools. They attend Bethel Baptist Church, Dora. Dianna Cagle, Production Manager
Dianna Cagle has been part of the TAB Media team since March 2021. Previously, she was assistant editor for North Carolina’s Biblical Recorder, staff member of several daily newspapers and a US/C-2 missionary with the North American Mission Board. Dianna has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from the University of Alabama and a master’s of divinity degree in biblical counseling from Southeastern Seminary. Grace Thornton, Special Assignments Editor
Grace Thornton has been part of the TAB Media team since 2003. She also served in international missions for several years. Grace has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and English from Mississippi College and has done some graduate study at the University of Alabama and Southern Seminary. Hannah Muñoz, Digital Editor
Hannah Muñoz has been part of the TAB Media team since 2014 and also previously worked part-time at WIAT-CBS 42 News in Birmingham. James Hammack, Digital Services Manager
James Hammack has been part of the TAB Media team since 2016 and began full time in 2019. Jessica Ingram, Event Coordinator
Jessica has been part of TAB Media since 2018. Previously, she interned at national Woman’s Missionary Union, headquartered in Birmingham, and worked at the Homewood Public Library. Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in English from Mississippi State University and achieved a certificate of publishing from the Denver Publishing Institute. Lauren C. Grim, Creative Services Manager
Lauren has been employed by The Alabama Baptist since Aug. 10, 2004. She joined the staff as an editorial intern and then was appointed part-time web/advertising assistant on Jan. 1, 2005. On April 1, 2006, she became the full-time graphic designer. She became the creative services manager in January 2019. A native of Clarksdale, Mississippi, Lauren received a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design at Mississippi College. She has earned 16 hours in theological studies at Beeson Divinity School. She and her husband, Myles, live in Hernando, Mississippi. They have a daughter, Alana, and a son, Mason, and are members of Hernando Baptist Church. Maggie Evans, Special Assistant to the Editor
Maggie Evans rejoined TAB Media in August 2020. She previously served as a summer intern in May 2012 and then joined the staff in 2014 for a few years. Between stints with TAB Media, Maggie served as a financial coordinator and patient advocate for Gooch Family Dental. She has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Troy University. Pam Henderson, Regional Correspondent
Pam has served in church and denominational ministry for 20 years, including serving 17 years at churches in Missouri, Kentucky and Arkansas. Most recently, she and her husband, Trennis, served three years as national correspondents for National Woman’s Missionary Union. In their current roles, they continue to travel full-time in their 25-foot RV, Gracie. An award-winning photographer, Pam also has experience as a videographer and video producer. Trennis Henderson, Regional Correspondent
Trennis has served in Christian communications for nearly four decades, including serving as editor of the Arkansas Baptist News and Kentucky Western Recorder and vice president of communications at Ouachita Baptist University. He and his wife, Pam, served most recently as national correspondents for National Woman’s Missionary Union. Trennis holds degrees from College of the Ozarks and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served as national president of both Baptist Communicators Association and the Association of State Baptist Publications.
