Tony Evans has become the first African American to publish a study Bible.
Evans is pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Dallas, and founder of The Urban Alternative.
He has been in pastoral ministry for more than 50 years and has authored more than 100 books, Bible studies and devotionals.
Evans said he developed this study Bible and commentary to help people grasp a Kingdom-oriented mindset.

The family will welcome visitors from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at FBC Guntersville (1000 Gunter Avenue). A brief memorial service will be held at the church beginning at 5 p.m.
Emory Williams is a missionary kid in Santiago, Chile. His parents, Landon and Megan Williams, serve with the International Mission Board as church planters and mobilizers.
