BLOUNT ASSOCIATION
Pan Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Baileyton, celebrated its 75th anniversary May 30, and Larry Snow, church clerk and deacon, said it “was a wonderful service.”
Hunter Hall, a young preacher from a sister church, was the guest speaker for the morning, and members gave testimonies of their memories.
Kris Collins, music director, planned and led the music for the morning, and Jennifer Nayman, Sylinthia Lowery, Paulina Dingler and Reanna Walker sang solos.
Gerald Glenn with the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission presented the church with a certificate, and plaques were on display commemorating former pastors and deacons, along with photos of the first pastor, Finis Shedd, and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Pitts, who donated the land for the church.
The congregation gathered for lunch after the special service. Derreck Lowery is pastor.
