Students today face a hostile world full of incredible pressure.
On Oct. 21, the Colson Center will host “Truth, Technology, and Identity: Three Major Shifts that Define our Cultural Moment,” aimed at equipping parents, grandparents, pastors and educators “to make sense of our culture’s most dangerous and dominant narratives,” according to a press release.
The regional event is planned at Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Vestavia Hills from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. John Stonestreet, president of the Colson Center, plans to share “practical strategies for building bridges across generational divides and communicating truth to the students you are tasked to serve.”
This is the first event in a series of regional worldview seminars that the Colson Center for Christian Worldview will present. The Legacy Coalition is partnering in the event for its two-day Legacy Grandparenting Summit Oct. 21–22, also at Shades Mountain Baptist. The Stonestreet event is free, but there is a charge for the Legacy Summit.
