Juanita S. Tew died Feb. 28. She was 89.
Tew held bachelor’s and master’s degrees in teacher education from Samford University and was an elementary school teacher. Active in church, Tew taught Sunday School and served as a consultant with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. She joined her husband in overseas ministry projects, including teaching English as a Second Language in China. She also was a contributor to Missions Mosaic for national Woman’s Missionary Union.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 69 years, L. Earl Tew; three children; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
