ABUJA, Nigeria — Muslim Fulani herdsmen and terrorists intensified their relentless onslaught against Christians in Nigeria, killing at least 118 since late December and abducting others.
Morning Star News reported the following:
– Jan. 15: Rev. Fr. Isaac Achi was burned to death in his living quarters on the grounds of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kafin-Koro in Niger state. Assistant priest Collins Omeh was shot.
– Jan. 15: A pastor was shot and 25 church members kidnapped during a morning worship service at New Life for All Church in Dantsauri village in Katsina state. Nine captives soon escaped.
– Jan. 17: Five Christians were killed in Zonkwa town in Kaduna state.
– Jan. 17 & 19: Four Christians were abducted in Enugu state. Since late December more than 100 have been slain in Eha-Amufu village.
– Jan. 20: Twelve Christians were killed in the Abagena community in Benue state.
– Jan. 22: Five Christians were murdered in the Gambar Sabon Layi community in Bauchi state. One was kidnapped.
Nigeria is No. 6 on Open Doors’ 2023 World Watch List of places most difficult to be a Christian, and has led the world in the number of Christians kidnapped or killed for their faith.
