Tyler Armstrong is the new pastor of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church, Muscle Shoals.
Armstrong began preaching at age 17. He was licensed at Dwight Baptist Church, Gadsden, in 2011, and ordained at 12th Street Baptist Church, Rainbow City, in 2017.
He served 12th Street as community pastor and pastor to students and First Baptist Church Attalla.
He also served Plymouth Park Baptist Church, Irving, Texas, as pastor of discipleship and communications, as well as serving other churches in northeast Alabama.
Armstrong holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and history from Jacksonville State University and a master of divinity degree with an emphasis in Christian ministry from Midwestern Seminary.
He and his wife, Ryann, have two children.
