Don Downs is the new associational mission strategist for East Liberty Baptist Association.
He has served in various roles in churches in Florida and Alabama, and most recently as senior pastor of West End Baptist Church, Valley, for more than 16 years.
Downs holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from the Baptist College of Florida and a master’s of religion from Liberty University.
He and his wife, Donna, have two daughters.
Chris Kynard, who had been serving as pastor of Linden Baptist Church, has accepted the pastorate of a church in London, Kentucky.
Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, Holly Pond, will host two singings, each beginning at 5 p.m. Sept. 5 will feature “The Perrys” and Sept. 20 “Living Faith.”
