Baseball legend Willie Mays, who was from Westfield, Alabama, died June 18 at 93.
Mays had announced earlier in the week that he would not be able to attend the much-anticipated special, regular season game between the Giants and St. Louis Cardinals on June 20 to honor the Negro Leagues at Rickwood Field in Birmingham.
