Scammers try to take advantage of many people. They attempt new methods all the time.
A free fraud prevention training has been scheduled for those who live in the Prattville area for July 31. The event, which is from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., will be hosted at First Presbyterian Church, 220 S. Chestnut St., Prattville, AL 36067 and will be helpful to individuals, consumers and businesses.
Participants will receive refreshments as well as information and resources about responding to and reporting scams.
The Alabama Securities Commission, along with the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau and the Alabama Council on Economic Education.
