Seddon Baptist pastor recognized for 30 years of ministry

Dale Foote was recognized April 6 for his 30 years of ministry as pastor of Seddon Baptist Church, Pell City. Special music selected for the service were favorite songs of Foote’s such as “I Believe” and “Thank you Jesus for the Blood.” Shad Smith, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, Dallas, Georgia, was the guest speaker.

Additional guests included Ronnie Brown, former pastor of Faith Community Church, Trenton, Georgia. Lunch followed with gift presentations to Foote and his wife, Lori, who serves as the church’s office administrator. He was ordained to the ministry in 1990 and has served for 35 years as a pastor. His first church was Del Rio Baptist Church, Birmingham. The couple have two married daughters, whose husbands serve on staff: Chris Mayfield as children’s pastor and Sam Swaim as worship leader. Foote remembers his first Sunday at Seddon was April 16, 1995, and “we had seven people in attendance for Easter.”
