The Alabama Baptist Deacons’ Retreat for all men and boys is set for Aug. 8–9 at Shocco Springs Conference Center.
Mark Warren will be the worship leader. Pastors David Smith, Jarman Leatherwood, Michael Boatfield, Jon Wiggins, Randy Cater, Greg Corbin, Keith Pugh and Bob Pitman are the speakers.

Author Rosaria Butterfield will be the featured speaker, sharing her conversion experience to Christ and teaching from her book “Five Lies of our Anti-Christian Age.”
The theme, Rooted in His Love, is based on Ephesians 3:14–21. Guest speakers include Jo Carwile, Missy Lundy, Pam Atcheson, Candace McIntosh and Julie Boyd.
Alberton Baptist Church, Kinston, will host Vacation Bible School June 22–27, Sunday 5–7:30 p.m. and Monday through Friday 6–8:30 p.m.
Union Hill Baptist Church, Oneonta, will host Blount County Sav-a-Life’s annual fundraising dinner Nov. 7.
