The Baptist Church at McAdory, McCalla, will host Celebrate 20, Sept. 20–21, marking the 20th anniversary of the unification of three congregations from the Bessemer area, First Baptist Church Bessemer, South Highlands and Westside.
Saturday’s event kicks off with a community-wide festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring fun and fellowship for the entire family, including games, bounce houses, food trucks and Christian music. Admission is free. The celebration concludes Sunday with a special worship service at 10:30 a.m. Chris Crain, executive director of Birmingham Baptist Metro Association, will be the guest preacher. Bill McCall is pastor.
