The crowd of about 20 Muslims went to Indonesian Bethel Church in Tangerang an hour before the start of the church’s worship service Sept. 21, reported Morning Star News. The church is located in a shophouse in a commercial complex in the village of Gerendeng Pulo.
One Muslim in the group claimed that the permission the church had previously received from residents was not valid because it was achieved through bribery, such as providing for needs, Morning Star explained.
A source told Morning Star that 20 residents, as well as the Mosque Prosperity Council — which the news outlet describes as “a mosque management body” — has given permission for the church to hold activities at the site in the commercial complex.
