A Sudanese Christian school where hundreds of individuals displaced by war had taken refuge was stormed in September, and the occupants were threatened and told to leave.
Morning Star News reported that three Muslims forcefully gained entrance into Evangelical School of Sudan in Omdurman on Sept. 3. The intruders threatened the displaced people — most of whom are Christians — and demanded that they leave the property.

The school belongs to Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church, a church leader said.
An Islamic businessman who is interested in the property has made several attempts through the years to take the land by force along with his supporters, stated Morning Star. The Muslims executing the Sept. 3 intrusion were sent by the businessman.
In Sudan, the Rapid Support Forces and Sudanese Armed Forces have been engaged in a civil war since April 2023.
“Both the RSF and the SAF are Islamist forces that have attacked displaced Christians on accusations of supporting the other’s combatants,” Morning Star explained.
The United Nations commissioner for human rights said tens of thousands have been killed in this civil war, and nearly 12 million are displaced in locations inside and outside Sudan, according to Morning Star.
