Lakeview Baptist in Highland Lake celebrates 25th anniversary

Lakeview Baptist Church, Highland Lake, celebrated it 25th anniversary Oct. 5. Deacon Dan Hopper shared the church history followed by a special presentation by Ken Blackwood, a commissioner for the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission, with pastor Mark Lacks accepting on behalf of the church.

Special music was provided by the praise team and the children’s choir. Three charter members were awarded certificates of recognition. Mary Bellew and Gene Martin, both founding members, shared about the humble beginnings of the church. Lunch was served following the service.
