A pastor preached on a street in Bristol, England, on April 4 for the first time since being arrested last fall for making comments that police deemed hurtful to certain groups of people.
Alliance Defending Freedom International, which is supporting Dia Moodley’s legal defense, said he was arrested Nov. 22, 2025, for “commenting on Islam and transgender ideology while peacefully street preaching.” He was arrested “on suspicion of committing a ‘religiously aggravated’ public order offence and ‘inciting religious hatred.'”

He was arrested for the same thing in March 2024 but it was dropped.
Twice in March 2025, he was threatened with arrest for preaching about the differences between Christianity and Islam. Muslim bystanders who assaulted him were not charged.
‘Real risk’
Recently, Avon and Somerset Police subjected him to an “interview under caution,” notes ADF International.
During the interrogation, police asked why he preaches in an area frequented by Muslims and is critical of transgender ideology.
An ADF International statement quotes Moodley as saying the police department’s line of questioning “undoubtedly shows there is a real risk of authorities allowing Christianity to be pushed out of public spaces in the U.K. in favor of allowing Islam or other beliefs to dominate. … There are no Islamic or progressive blasphemy laws in this country, and yet time and time again the police have censored me as if there are.”
