Muslim Fulani herdsmen were identified as the assailants.
Then, on May 8, armed Muslim Fulani herdsmen allegedly killed 13 Christians in the Plateau state community of Ngbra Zongo. Three pregnant women were among those slain.
Quoting sources, Christian Daily-Morning Star states that herdsmen also beheaded a 30-year-old Christian in Riwhie-Chwo village April 16 and killed a pastor, his wife and their two children in the Rim area April 26.
Ayuba Choji, the pastor, served on the Gako missions field.
‘Ongoing genocide’
“They were martyrs whose lives were claimed by the ongoing genocide against Christians in Nigeria,” a statement from Evangelical Church Winning All says of Choji and his family. “They died exactly where they chose to stand in the line of duty … refusing to abandon the post God had given them.”
