Chewacla Baptist celebrates 75th anniversary

Chewacla Baptist Church, Opelika, celebrated its 75th anniversary in conjunction with a July 4 celebration that included a bounce house and hot dog/hamburger lunch. During the activities, Calvin Milford, a commissioner for the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission, honored the church with a special presentation. Donnie Trimble, the oldest deacon, accepted the commemorative plaque on behalf of the church. Mark Murphy is pastor.
