Larry Roberts, pastor of First Baptist Church Harpersville for more than 10 years, retired in mid-August. Roberts also served several other churches in Alabama during his 48 years in ministry. FBC Harpersville honored him and his wife, Melanie, with a luncheon following the Aug. 16 service.
