Prattmont honors pastor on 20th anniversary

Prattmont Baptist Church honored its pastor, Randall J. Tucker, Aug. 24 for his 20th anniversary.

Bill Morgan, Autauga Baptist Association director of missions, began the worship service by congratulating Morgan for serving one church for 20 years. Prattville mayor Jim Byard, Jr. declared Aug. 24 Randall J. Tucker Day. Tucker also received a certificate of recognition from the governor’s office and a certificate of appreciation from the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. Tucker’s son, Tom Tucker, preached at the service.

Afterward, Tucker was given a letter from Blue Bell Incorporated, his favorite company, which included an invitation to tour the facility, a gift certificate for ice cream and a cooler fill with ice cream. The choir added to the celebration with a funny song written about the pastor. And the congregation gave $1,000 for each year of service to his annuity fund. (TAB)
