CLC officers Christian voices on social issues

In a time when teenagers are addicted to drugs, abortions are performed daily, families are splitting up and it is unlawful to display the Ten Commandments, it is no wonder people are turning away from God, said Michael, CLC chairman and pastor of First Baptist Church, Clanton.
   
But help is available through the Christian Life Report, which is written by various religious leaders to offer information on important state and national issues.
   
“The Christian Life Commission … is a voice to help you as you pursue being informed and being able to take intelligent action in regard to important issues that affect us all as Christians,” he said.
   
According to the Book of Reports, Alabama Baptists were number one in the nation in giving to world hunger causes among Southern Baptists last year, providing more than $863,000.
   
“I … encourage you to be informed,” Michael said.
