For the people’s good

Thank you for the very fine editorial on “Potterville” in the Jan. 12, 2006, issue. You are right on target. The jury is still out on the end results of the current legislative session. However, let me assure you and the churches of Alabama, through the strength of our Lord, I plan to stay on the legislative scene to be Alabama’s “George Bailey” and to sustain Alabama’s “Bedford Falls” image.

It is past time that the people, not politicians and lobbyists, control the state of Alabama for the good of all the citizens, especially for the children, the elderly and those less fortunate. I believe the State of the State Address by Gov. Riley is heading us in that direction.
