The editorial on Feb. 3 asks, “Where are the people?” I would like to suggest that our Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions check the back door. We are advised by Rick Warren, author of “The Purpose-Driven Life,” to leave the back door open so that the objectors to his program may leave. Thank you — I left.
We are embarked on a divisive program that hardly speaks of love.
Our churches are full of people who think we do the FAITH evangelism program on Tuesday and that’s it for the week. We lack committed people who will witness as they go every day, in all that they do.
Possibly, the Great Commission was to commit and live not a go and do command exclusively.
