I have enjoyed receiving The Alabama Baptist for many years and want to express my appreciation to you and your staff for the excellent work you do in providing us and keeping us up-to-date with Baptist ministries throughout the state.
Since the horrible event that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001, you are keeping us well informed.
We must wake up to our spiritual responsibility to our Lord and Savior.
We have failed to live a life that meets His standards, and unless we pray for His forgiveness and start living up to His standards we will suffer many more attacks.
How wonderful it will be if we as Baptists could unite throughout the convention and pray for our president and all our leadership of the country, and live and pray as He instructs us in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
