An elementary school in need has become the focus of a Birmingham-area ministry project.
CareNet Connection (CNC) — a ministry of First Baptist Church, Fultondale, in Birmingham Baptist Association (BBA) — is helping raise money for new playground equipment for Fultondale Elementary School’s new site.
One of the series of fund-raising events was an Aug. 5 block party, hosted by CNC, local churches, BBA, Need a Chance — an organization that works with children — and the Fultondale Elementary School Parent Teacher Association.
Jim Branum, director of the CNC, said a little more than $1,200 has been raised since the events began. (TAB)
