Alabamians visiting the governor’s mansion will find a new addition to “our beautiful gardens,” said Alabama first lady Patsy Riley.
“We now have a wonderful prayer and meditation garden at the governor’s mansion,” said Riley, who dedicated the garden April 2. “It’s a place of quietness and anyone who takes a tour of the mansion is welcome to visit the garden to meditate or pray.
“We all live such a rushed and busy and hurried life that … I wanted a place where people will just be able to slow down.”
Riley said she and Gov. Bob Riley both plan to use the garden as a place to pray, reflect and read God’s Word. (TAB)
