•Henry Cox, pastor of First Baptist Church, Bay Minette, and president of the Alabama Baptist State Convention, delivered his president’s address.
•Alabama Baptists heard positive reports from each of the three Baptist schools — Judson College, Samford University and the University of Mobile.
•Alabama Baptists participated in the International Mission Board appointment service held in Huntsville. Eighty-seven missionaries were appointed.
