When 7-year-old Tyler Comeau of Rainbow City opened a lemonade stand in his front yard, he had a higher purpose in mind than earning money to purchase the latest electronic gadget or game. Tyler wanted to make money for missions.
His efforts raised $69, all of which he contributed to his church’s Mexico missions projects. Tyler’s specific goal was to “help build a home for a widow.”
When sales got slow, he didn’t give up.
Tyler and the other children at MeadowBrook Baptist Church, Gadsden, in Etowah Baptist Association had been learning about endurance during Sunday School and in KidStuf on Wednesday nights.
Remembering that endurance is “sticking with what you started even when it gets tough” helped Tyler persevere.
“Tyler’s dedication, work and endurance encourage and challenge each of us to be generous and diligent managers of God’s resources entrusted to us,” Pastor Randy Gunter said.
