An Alabama Baptist was appointed to overseas work with the International Mission Board (IMB) Nov. 7.
Elizabeth House, a Decatur native, was commissioned to do community outreach development and ministry work in the Central and Eastern Europe region.
She previously served as a teacher at Decatur Heritage Christian Academy.
A journeyman with the IMB in the mid-1990s, House also taught at a school in Nicaragua.
House earned a bachelor’s degree from Judson College in Marion and master’s degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, Calif.
One Alabama couple was also appointed Nov. 7 but cannot be named for security reasons. (TAB)
