It’s pop-punk stirred with vocals — and occasionally screams — sopping with syrupy emotion and crunchy chug-chug breakdowns.
This sound is the new thing, and bands that have it are a dime a dozen. But Transistor Radio might be worth a bit more along those lines.
Like This Beautiful Republic, they do it well and seem to have the chops to ride it into the (California) sunset.
They may be the most mainstream, radio-friendly Christian incarnation of this breed.
As such, “A Legacy Between,” the band’s 12-song debut, is just about perfect for fans of this genre.
