"NQC Live Volume 7" includes 15 songs from the 2007 National Quartet Convention (NQC) main stage plus a comedy segment featuring Mark Lowry. Some groups are performing their recent radio singles, while others sing more established titles.

The DVD kicks off with a Kingdom Heirs tune, "The Rock’s Between the Hard Place and You," featuring their dynamic lead singer Arthur Rice.

For "Grace Will Always Be Greater Than Sin," the Hoppers are joined by a string quartet. Lowry and LordSong sing his modern Christmas classic, "Mary Did You Know." The Dove Brothers deliver "I Can Pray," a No. 1 song for 2007. The Talley Trio offers "That’s Enough" which features a vocal by the late Jake Hess.

Other highlights include "Redeemed Medley" by Greater Vision, "Finished Indeed" by the Kingsmen, "I’m Gonna Get Up" by Karen Peck & New River, "The River Keeps A-Rollin’" by the Booth Brothers, "Get Up, Get Ready" by Gold City, and "I Stand Redeemed" by Legacy Five.

DVD bonuses include segments from the Florida Boys’ farewell performance ("When He Was On The Cross"), the Hoppers’ 50th Anniversary Showcase, and Pianorama (a Roger Bennett tribute).

Also a segment titled "Passing The Torch" features a performance of "I’ll Fly Away" that begins with a quartet of legends (Bill Baize, Buddy Burton, Ed Hill, Gerald Williams and pianist Derrell Stewart). A much younger quartet joins the song midway (Eric Phillips, Joseph Habedank, Scott Inman and Jeremy Lile with Josh Singletary at the keys).

The camera work is creative and the colors are bright and vivid on this DVD. It’s very good production quality overall. If you view videos on a wide screen, you’ll want to be aware that the screen ratio is 4:3.

"NQC Live Volume 7" is a "must buy" for those who attend NQC regularly. Other southern gospel video customers should also consider adding this DVD to their collections.
