Judson Professor Honored at National Conference

At the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) conference in Boston in March, Judson College professor of education Kathy Chandler was elected president of the Society of Elementary Presidential Awardees.

She is a 2002 recipient of the group’s Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

As president, Chandler will help provide national presentations on math and science, inform members of current best practices and provide opportunities for members to take leadership roles in math and science throughout the nation.

In addition, Chandler was also appointed to serve on the Toyota Tapestry Grant committee by the NSTA.
