Retired Alabama Baptist pastor Floyd Crowe died May 31. He was 91.
Crowe served as pastor of South Eleventh Street Baptist Church, Gadsden, in Etowah Baptist Association for 46 years, one of the longest tenures in Etowah County.
He preached for 66 years and conducted a radio ministry for 56 years, which included a Saturday children’s radio program.
During his years in the ministry, Crowe started four churches through his tent revivals.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Sara. Crowe is survived by one daughter, two grandsons and one great-grandson.
