Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School recognized its outstanding students and faculty May 1.
Christian George received the James Earl Massey Preaching Award. Wayne and Mary Splawn received the Distinguished Student Award. Clayton Speed received the Biblical Languages Award. Sonya Ricketson received the Outstanding M.T.S. Student Award.
Paul Bryant received the Pastoral Ministry Award. Jason Wicker and Rebecca George received the Theological and Historical Studies Award.
J. Norfleete Day, associate professor of divinity, received the Beeson Teaching Award.
In April, Beeson student Grant Taylor received the 2007 W.M. Todd Biblical Languages Award, which honors the longtime Alabama Baptist pastor and Samford alumnus.
