It means a great deal to know our friends and family are praying for us and supporting our work.
Right now, that work is mainly adjusting to the culture shock. The official language here is English, but there are many who don’t speak it. Most of the people in Tamale speak Dagbanli, the language of the Dagomba people. This is the language we are trying to learn because it means being accepted into the intimate circle of the people we are here to minister to. Please pray that we will be enabled by God to learn the language.
The Dagomba people are winning our hearts. They respond to our being here with wonder, love, appreciation and respect.
Also please pray for the students and staff at the Northern Ghana Baptist Theological Seminary and for books for the seminary library.
