University of Mobile associate professor of biology Steve Carey has taken to the road once again to chase severe weather and tornadoes in America’s "Tornado Alley."
He will chronicle his storm-chasing trips to the Great Plains on www.umobile.edu/stormchaser.
Carey will serve as a driver and guide for Stormchasing Adventure Tours while writing about his experiences.
He is currently on his first week-long trip in Amarillo, Texas. His second tour will begin June 1 from Denver, Colo.
The professor has witnessed hurricanes, tornadoes, severe floods, active volcanoes and landslides, and has used those experiences, photographs and video in teaching university students and speaking to community and school groups.
