Robert F. Maxwell dies December 27

Robert F. Maxwell, husband of longtime Alabama Baptist employee Bobbie Lawson Maxwell, died Dec. 27 of a heart attack at their home in Bagley.

Maxwell, 69, was a retired 44-year employee of The Birmingham News. He was an active member of New Temple Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs Baptist Association.

Funeral services were held Dec. 30 at New Horizon Memorial Chapel in Dora, and burial was at Highland Memorial Gardens.

In addition to his wife, Maxwell is survived by two sons, Gregory Maxwell of Mt. Olive and Shawn Maxwell of Bagley; two daughters, Ramona Holmes of Lakeland, Fla., and Stephanie Maxwell of Bagley; and seven grandchildren.
