Judson will host the Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s world premiere production of "Gee’s Bend" Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Alumnae Auditorium. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Written by Mobile-native Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder, the tale focuses on the quilters of Gee’s Bend.
It follows the lives of Sadie Pettway and her family from the Depression to the modern era. It relates the faith, strength and spirit of generosity found in the community of Gee’s Bend.
