Samford Names Assessment Director

Mary Sue Baldwin was named director of assessment at Samford University Jan. 8.

Baldwin will lead university efforts to improve student learning and other educational program outcomes.

She will work with faculty, departments and the academic schools to develop and implement assessment strategies and will be involved in coordinating other programs related to accreditation and academic compliance.

A Samford alumna, Baldwin joined the Samford faculty in 2002 and most recently has been director of the Center for Teaching, Learning and Scholarship. She will continue to conduct selected programs through the center for the immediate future.
