NEW DELHI, India — More than 21 people were injured, six critically, when a bomb exploded during a crusade by the Gospel Association of India (GAI).
The group regularly conducts religious crusades in India with the help of more than 100 pastors, and also airs television specials during Christmas and Easter. In addition, the ministry operates schools, church-planting programs and college outreach groups. The bomb went off in the middle of the audience while crusade leaders were issuing an altar call. Authorities are still investigating the crime and searching for suspects, but they have determined that the bomb was homemade. No one has claimed responsibility for the bomb.
