I read with interest the letter in regards to the Mormon Temple (Oct. 5th). I too am a Baptist and have two things to suggest:
1. Run not walk to your nearest LifeWay Christian Store and purchase a copy of “Cults & New Religions,” “Cult Watch” or “The Kingdom of The Cults” and don’t stop reading until you have read the entire book or books.
2. Read your Bible and pay close attention to John14:6 where Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me.”
In the Oct. 5th letter it said “One day, when we all get to heaven together.” I don’t like being negative but Mormons do not believe as Christians believe!
Will Mormons be in heaven? Not if they are true Mormons.
All religions don’t lead to heaven and if that is your belief you need to ask am I saved or just a church member?
