I am convinced that some people have decided the eternal fate of all individuals who are divorced be it for whatever cause.
In many eyes these individuals are forever “branded.” On the other hand just about everyone of us knows of some men who are less dedicated, do not support the church, drink and other things I won’t mention — but they have never been divorced, so we should ordain them.
A little scenario. A man goes through a divorce. In time he becomes a Christian and comes into the church.
He supports, works, prays and lives a great Christian life. But most churches won’t ordain him. He is stained with divorce. Somehow the teaching of the Bible really deals with the word forgiveness.
The problem — we call on God for forgiveness and we feel it, but when He says to us forgive, it’s another story.
Many of our churches today are missing the heartfelt service of many men in the category mentioned above, due to their being tainted.
