A letter in the March 30 edition of The Alabama Baptist criticized those trying to defend our Christian religious freedoms in schools and other public places. I felt that way once but have now seen the results. Never in the history of our country has religious freedom for Christians been so restricted, and never has the violence and immorality of our children been so great.
Have we let fear that some other religion might express itself shut up and shackle our own religious freedom? This has surely happened, and it is destroying the moral fiber of our country. Christians must not sit by and approve the loss of our constitutional rights and our Christian culture. Thank God for those with courage to stand and speak.
What will God say about this when we all give account to Him one day? Christians, seek God’s will in this, not “… a way that seems right to man, but the ways thereof lead to destruction.”
