July CP gifts down from last year

Contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) Cooperative Program (CP) for the month of July totaled $16,933,771.10.

The receipts were 1.36 percent, or $232,875.74, behind the $17,166,646.84 received in July 2007, according to a news release from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Morris H. Chapman. Year-to-date contributions through the CP are 0.38 percent behind the same time frame in July 2007.

As of July 31, the year-to-date total of $171,490,312.47 for CP missions is $651,341.50 behind the $172,141,653.97 that had been received at the same point in 2007.
