Charles C. Walker, former director of missions (DOM) for Sulphur Springs Baptist Association, died Aug. 21.
He was 80.
After leaving his two-year pastorate at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Watson, in North Jefferson Baptist Association in 1976, Walker went to Sulphur Springs Association, where he served as DOM until 1994.
He also worked for Alabama Power for more than 30 years.
Walker was a longtime member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church, Warrior, in Sulphur Springs Association.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
Walker is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia; one daughter; one son; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. (TAB)
